• The Varsity and JV Boys track teams finished out the year on a high note placing 4th out of 7 teams in a very tough track district considered by many to be the fastest overall district in Texas. 6 athletes advanced to the Regional Track Meet in Denton including: Eric Frawley, Vince Frawley, Kyle Lister, Raylon Evans, Neal Ellis, and Sam Emerson. • The Junior Varsity Girls finished 5th place overall.
Kaitlin Defreitas got 6th in the 100m dash. Kim Collins got 4th in the 400m dash. The sprint relay got 5th place and consisted of Nicole Stockdell, Rebecca Penn, Kaitlin Defreitas, and Kim Collins. The 800m relay team got 4th place and consisted of Nicole Stockdell, Rebecca Penn, Kaitlin Defreitas, and Kim Collins. Grace Merrifield placed 2nd in the high jump and Rebecca Penn placed 3rd in the high jump. Kaitlin Defreitas placed 6th in the long jump. Christina White placed 4th in the triple jump. Kate Tulley placed 5th in the discus.
• The Varsity Girls placed 4th in district (missing 3rd by 1 point) overall.
Carly Kitts placed 1st in the 1600m run and Kayla Lister placed 6th. Carly Kitts also won the 3200m run and Kayla Lister placed 4th. Cheyenne Boteler placed 5th in the 300m hurdles. The sprint relay team placed 5th and consisted of April Yeager, Meghan Morrow, Johnna Strother, and Lauren Tryon. The 800m relay team placed 4th and consisted of of Brandi Spillers, Johnna Strother, Meghan Morrow, and April Yeager. The mile relay placed 5th and consisted of Amanda Thorndike, Carly Kitts, Brandi Spillers, and Meghan Morrow. Nicole Hulshouser placed 5th in the high jump. Austyn Rapp won the pole vault. April Yeager placed 5th in the Long jump.
Austyn Rapp and Carly Kitts will be competing in the Regional Track meet in Denton Texas on the 25th and 26th of April.

Texas Relay Results
Vince Frawley won the boys "B" division Pole Vault at the Texas Relays in Austin on Friday night (4/4). Vince won in a jump off clearing 15'3" which is just 3 inches below his personal best. The Texas Relays include some of the best runners in the Southern United States.
Carly Kitts competed in the 81st Annual Texas Relays in Austin this past weekend. This was a prestigious honor because you have to be invited to compete. She ran the mile and 2mile. Carly placed 3rd in the 2mile with a, school record breaking, time of 10:48. She also placed 5th in the mile with a time of 5:07. |
