The Midlothian Track team traveled to Lubbock this past week end to compete in the region I Class 5A track meet. They represented the school with great pride. Joseph Johnson, (J J)  is going to the State Track Meet in the Triple Jump.  He went into the finals setting in 3rd place. On his second jump in the finals he jumped 48’  2“. He was ear to ear grin when. He had accomplished 2 goals in one day, breaking the 48’ barrier and earning a trip to the State Meet.

Dustin Seeton and Justin Seeton went in the pole vault. Justin finished 7th, Jaron Thomas finished 5th in the 300 hurdles setting a new school record and Danielle Davidson went in the 1600 and 3200 run.

They did a great job representing Midlothian. Congratulations on a great season and GO JJ!

April 19: Midlothian Track Regional Qualifers

Midlothian went to Waco Midway for the UIL Area track meet last Friday. In the Pole Vault the Panthers qualified 3 boys for the Area meet and all 3 placed. Kyle Flaherty finished 6th, Dustin Seeton  4th and Justin Seeton placed 2nd. In the Triple Jump Joseph Johnson took home the silver medal and Jaron Thomas took home the bronze in the 300 meter hurdles, while Bailey Rhodes finished in fifth in a very close f800 meter race.  Megan Jones went to Waco in the High Jump and finished 2nd, while Riann Wignet  came home with a silver medal in the 1600 meter run. Danielle Davidson brought back 2 medals, 3rd in the 3200 and 4th in the 1600, to  become the only double medal winner for Midlothian. The Panthers will travel to Lubbock this next week to compete in the Region I Class 5A Championships held at Fuller Track on the Texas Tech campus.
