Baxter staff and students organized and donated 110 shoeboxes filled with everything from toothpaste to toys, and sent them to needy children in Haiti. We surpassed our goal of 100 shoeboxes! Thank you to everyone who donated. We also sent 10 shoeboxes and 4 large boxes to our local Manna House. Baxter's Circle of Friends embraced the Holiday Season of giving! |

Baxter staff and students were PROUD to honor the men and women who served in the military with a Veteran's Day assembly. Students made patriotic posters that lined the hallways, sang patriotic songs, and recognized our veterans. Thank you so much for your service to our country. Our school's name sake, T.E. Baxter, is also a veteran. |

Night at the Library was a HUGE success! We had a Cat In The Hat, a couple of Pirates and even a Cowgirl! There were games, costume contests and read alouds. Everyone had fun shopping for their favorite books too. |

Policeman Wise and his father Fireman Wise spoke to 2nd graders about their jobs. They also talked about how to recognize law enforcement in emergency situations. Thanks for coming--we learned so much! |

5th graders listened to local law enforcement officers explain our constitutional rights. They also wore RED, WHITE and BLUE to represent Constitution Day. |
