The Infamous Egg Drop at Baxter Elementary
Excitement filled the air as 4th graders at T.E.Baxter Elementary watched their team's egg drop from various heights. In a carefully designed cushioned case, students had to predict if their egg would survive a fall from the highest point – a 30 ft. bucket lift.
Lane (pictured left) who is in Mrs. Rodgers's class said, "This is so fun. My team did a good job because our egg didn't break."
There were 16 out of 29 teams whose egg did not crack. This project is part of the 4th grade introduction to science curriculum. Designing fun lessons is one way to engage students' interest in the learning process. |
