Austin Guest Named TASCO All-Star Coach
Congratulations to Head Boys' Soccer Coach Austin Guest for his recent selection to coach the in the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches All-Star Game.
Guest, whose team won the District 7-5A Championship this year, will coach the Region I squad that includes Midlothian forward Laurence Chamberlain.
The Boys' All-Star Game will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at Wildcat Stadium in Temple at 12:00 pm.
Charles Nobles named TASCO Coach of the Year
Congratulations are in order for Coach Charles Nobles who was named TASCO Region 1 Girls Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Nobles led the Lady Panther JV1 team to a 15-1-5 record (8-0-4 in district 7-5A). In addition, Coach Nobles led the JV1 Panther Soccer Team, while providing unparalleled assistance to both MHS varsity soccer programs.
Panthers represented in TASCO Teams
The Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) announced the All-State and All-Region Teams today with the MHS soccer teams well represented.
- Loomis Ramsey received 5A Region 1 All-Region Honorable Mention.
- Mason Capello was named 5A Region 1 All-Region Second Team.
- Laurence Chamberlain was named 5A Region 1 All-Region First Team.
- Lady Panther goalkeeper Dani Mayfield was awarded 5A All-State Honorable Mention.
Congratulations to these players on receiving such outstanding honors.
DMN releases All-Area Soccer team
The Dallas Morning News released its All-Area Soccer Teams today. Panther Soccer senior Laurence Chamberlain was named as a First Team Forward. Congratulations to Laurence who has committed to continue his playing career at Midwestern State University. The 7-5A All-District players from Midlothian were:
Player of the Year: Laurence Chamberlain
Goalkeeper of the Year: Mason Capello
Coach of the Year: Austin Guest
First Team: Loomis Ramsey, Preston Martin, Matthew Robertson and Eric Nutt
Second Team: Brandon Bynum, David Goss, Jose Morales and Jared Chancey
Honorable Mention: Dylan Chancey, Brandon Cirilo and Ryan Sisco.
