Panthers Represented at TASCO

On May 12, Michael Boyd and Leevi Schwartz represented the MHS Panther Soccer Teams in the TASCO (Texas Association of Soccer Coaches) Senior Showcase at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. Playing for Region 1, both players showed well in a close 1-2 loss to Region 4. On the girls side, Ashley Cox was named to the showcase team but was unable to participate after qualifying for the state track, meet where she finished 6th in the long jump. The attached photo is from the showcase; from left to right are Michael Boyd, Coach Austin Guest and Leevi Schwartz.

On May 15, TASCO announced the 2012 All-Region Teams. Ashley Cox was named to the 5A Region 1 Second Team as a forward. Dani Mayfield was named to the 5A Region 1 Second Team as a goalkeeper. On the boys side, Leevi Schwartz was named 5A Region 1 First Team forward, and Michael Boyd was named 5A Region 1 First team defender.
