- Increase Board Members’ role as advocates of MISD through greater presence and involvement within local and regional community and educational groups.

- Reassess the District’s Mission and Vision Statements, and develop strategic goals to guide the district’s strategic planning.

- Raise awareness among Midlothian’s community members and business leaders of the District’s opportunities and challenges resulting from one of the highest growth rates in our state.

- Establish an annual scholarship to be awarded by the Board to an outstanding senior student who demonstrates the “best of MISD.”

- Establish a prestigious, annual award from the Board that recognizes an employee that has demonstrated the qualities of a servant leader.
