The Lady Panthers Powerlifting Team was in action on Saturday, January 28th at the Midlothian Invitational. Over 230 of the area’s top lifters competed in this meet for individual and team honors. The Lady Panthers had 22 girls compete with many winning medals for top 5 finishes. Those receiving honors were: Savannah Mapes, 1st place; Lizzy Koehler, 2nd place; Hannah Haupers, 3rd place; Lindsey Wade, 4th place; Jordan Kyle, 5th place; Lily Escamilla, 1st place; Sam Brewer, 5th place; Shaddai Rios, 1st place; Alex Crannell, 2nd place; Mallory Morris, 4th place; Hannah Hendrix, 5th place; Raegan McGuire, 1st place; Andrea Castro, 4th place; Kenzie Westbury, 5th place; Chandler Gentry, 2nd place; Alexis Ingram, 3rd place; and Caitlyn Robbins, 4th place. Lily Escamilla was awarded the Top Lifter Award and the Lady Panthers were awarded the 1st place team trophy with a total of 49 points. The team will be back in action on February 10th in Cedar Hill. Midlothian hosted the 2nd Annual Midlothian Invitational this weekend. The Panthers had 3 teams in the meet once again. Top finishers were 6th place Preston Stripling and Najee Mustafaa. 7th place Chris Hinton and Nick Morrow. 8th Place Caleb Shaw and 9th place Dylan Clary in their respective weight classes. The Panthers competed well in a very tough meet. A special thanks to our all of our athletes involved, it was an efficiently run meet and couldn’t have been possible without all the hard work of our kids and Coaches. Great Job!
