LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Friends of Midlothian FFA Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: undisclosed
Criteria:
-must be a high school senior
- must be a member of FFA

Deadline: May 1

Association of TX Professional Educators (ATPE) Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Criteria:
-must be a high school senior
-must plan on majoring in education
-must submit an essay (250 words or less), stating your reasons for applying for this scholarship. Be sure to include your reason/ need for financial assistance, family background, and the reason you want to go into the field of education

Deadline: May 3


Holcim Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: $1,000 (2)
Criteria:
-must be a high school senior
-completed application
-must submit an essay (one page), stating your education and career goals and the factors that helped influence those goals.

Deadline: May 7 by mail May 10 by email

Best Southwest Partnership Program Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: $500
Criteria:
-must be a graduating high school senior
-must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
-must submit an essay (maximun 2 pages, double spaced), describing their character, leadership attributes,         aspirations, education and carerer plans, and future goals.
- MUST provide a copy of their academic transcript along with ACT/SAT scores
- applicants can also create a promotional digital video that communicates the impact of the local school, chamber, and city has had on the students leadership abilities and future asipirations (OPTIONAL)

Deadline: MUST be postmarked to address on application by MAY 10

Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: undisclosed
Criteria:
-must be a high school senior
-must be appointed by a State Reprsentative or Senator, the Governor or Lieutenant Governor
-must enroll in an eligible Texas insititution and an eligible ROTC program. A list of eligible institutios is available HERE
-MUST also be:
- on track to graduate with Distinguished or Baccalaureate
- have a GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale
- achieve a college readiness score on the SAT (1590) or ACT (23)
- be ranked in the top third of their prospective high school graduating class

STATE AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
AHF Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: $undisclosed
Criteria:
-Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career
-provide an official transcript of all academic work
-submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests
-Submit a letter of acceptance for an associate, bachelor, or masters program
-be accepted at an accredited college, university, or trade school within the U.S.
-must be a U.S. citizen or on a student VISA
-must be enrolled full time
-must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

B. Davis Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: $1,000.00
Criteria:
-must be a junior or senior
-must complete an essay of less then 1000 words on the following:

Discuss, in less then 1000 words, what you would consider to be the most inportant issue society will have to deal with in the next 10 to 20 years. Why do you think this issue is so important?

Al's Formal Wear Scholarship
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: (2)$1000.00
Criteria:
-must be at least 17 years of age
-must be registred and attending an accredited high school in Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Mississippi, Okalahoma, Texas, or Wyoming.
-Submit a completed application form
-provide the most recent transcript of all academic work
-must submit 2 letters of recommendation

Texas Interscholastic League Scholarships
Eligible: High School Senior
Scholarship Amount: not given
Criteria:
-must have competed at a UIL Academic State Meet any year of their High School Career (CX debaters must have advances to the second day of competition) OR must be a TSSEC Outstanding Soloist.
-must have been accepted to an accredited college or university in the state of Texas
-must enroll full-time in college and maintain a 2.5 GPA
-must have taken either the SAT or ACT
-must be graduating from High School during the current year

Students who do not have access to computers at home may use computers in the A.H. Meadows Library. Please note the requirements and deadlines for each scholarship as well as where each completed application must be submitted. As new scholarship opportunities become available they will be posted at that time.
