Friends of Midlothian FFA Scholarship
The deadline for this application is May 1, 2015 and completed applications should be returned to the MHS guidance office by 4:00 pm. The formal interviews will be held on May 6th, 2015 at the Midlothian Animal Science Facility beginning at 6 pm.
  • Must participate in the Midlothian Chapter of FFA
  • Fill out application along with a 1 page essay
  • must use money by the 2nd fall semester after senior year of high school
  • will have to have proof of enrollment to a 2 or 4 year college

The Bridge Foundation Charities
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
A $1,000 award will be given to each of the ten (10) eligible applicants with the highest overall application scores. The recipients of this scholarship will be determined by the academic, social, and civil credentials of each eligible applicant and the relative ranking to other applicants. These awards will only be paid upon proof of enrollment in an accredited 4 year college or university.
ELIGIBILITY:
High school senior in Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex meeting these qualifications:
Must be accepted to an accredited 4 year college/university
Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
Must be an African American U. S. citizen living in the DFW Metroplex area
Must be available for a personal or phone interview with the selection committee, if needed

STATE AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship


Deadline: 5/01/15
Available To: College Freshman through College Senior
Award Amount: $1,000

The Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship is available to full-time students who have a clinically significant bilateral hearing loss.

You must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a college or university in the United States, be a U.S. citizen, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Rudolph Dillman Memorial Scholarship


Deadline: 5/31/15
Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5
Award Amount: $2,500

Sponsored by the American Foundation for the Blind, the Rudolph Dillman Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are legally blind.

You must be studying rehabilitation and / or education of the blind or visually impaired and be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this award.

Two letters of recommendation are also required.

Karen D. Carsel Memorial Scholarship


Deadline: 5/31/15
Available to: Graduate Students, Year 1 through Year 5
Award Amount: $500

Sponsored by the American Foundation for the Blind, the Karen D. Carsel Memorial Scholarship is open to full-time graduate students who are legally blind.

You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.
