The Adopt-A-Grant Program is designed as an addition to the Innovative Teaching Grant Program. The Midlothian Education Foundation works tirelessly on behalf of MISD to gather funds from businesses and the community in order to grant campuses with money for innovative grants. Due to the recent state budgeting issues, MEF felt it necessary to create a second category of grants to address campus and district needs due to budget shortfalls. These grants may be innovative, but may also be a request for basic materials or items needed.

How do I adopt?
You may Adopt by contributing any amount to the Star Grant Fund, a general fund used to fund MEF Grants, Innovative and Adopt-A-Grants, or by giving to the ACE Grant or Rowdy Runners Grant. These are ongoing grants that need funds to support their programs each year.

Or you may select a specific Adopt-A-Grant and sponsor the full amount. Most of our Adopt-A-Grants are an “all-or-none” donation simply because they need the full amount to fund their program. Consider adopting with your neighbors, family members, co-workers, classmates, etc. to sponsor a grant that has a special meaning for you.
