Pennies for Panthers Drive!
Announcing the first ever Pennies for Panthers Drive! Dig under those sofa cushions and car seats, because we need your change! Send your loose change to school with your students to drop in the collection container in their campus's front office. All proceeds will go directly to the Midlothian Education Foundation’s Spring Innovative Teaching Grants, where one of our grants awarded will be the Pennies for Panthers Grant. We will be collecting change through March 1, 2010. Since 2004, the Midlothian Education Foundation has awarded over $140,000 in Innovative Teaching Grants to MISD teachers to implement innovative programs in their classrooms. If you have any questions, please contact Kristin Zastoupil, MEF Executive Director, 972-775-8296 x 1281 or foundation@midlothian-isd.net. |

MISD Health Advisory to Parents
Due to inconsistencies in flu reporting, MISD has decided to remove the Type A flu chart from the website. An increasing number of students are reporting flu, but do not know which sub type (Type A or Type B) and there are a number of students with influenza like illness (ILI) that have not seen a doctor. MISD does not want to report inaccurate information, so it is best to remove the Type A flu chart from our webpage. More |
