LaRue Miller Kindergarteners collect many pairs of shoes for Mexico Mission Trip
During their mission trip to Matamoros, Mexico- Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Candy Marshall and student Paxton Neal will deliver the many pairs of shoes that were collected over the past two weeks. The shoes will go to many families in need. The shoes will be distributed during the Thanksgiving Holidays. |

Teachers awarded $24,733 by the MEF Star Patrol

The MISD Education Foundation (MEF) Star Patrol surprised teachers on November 17 with five innovative teaching grants totaling $24,733. These grants are made possible through the non-profit Foundation founded in April 2004 to benefit the teachers and students for innovative projects and programs. Thanks to the donors and sponsors, MEF has awarded over $125,000 to teachers and students. More |

PTO getting ready for the Holidays!
Santa Pictures are coming!
The LaRue Miller Elementary PTO is bringing Santa to school on Wed; Dec. 3rd for seasonal pictures. Please watch for the flyer and picture envelope information in your child's folder. Also, please check out the Miller PTO website for updates.
Peppermint Village Gift Shop is coming!
The PTO is also sponsoring the first annual holiday gift shop with Ginger and Friends. Students can shop in the Peppermint Village during the week of Dec. 8 - 12. Family night is set for Thursday, Dec. 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Happy shopping! |

Announces the 2008 Gold Performance Acknowledgements

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) awarded seven Midlothian ISD campuses and the District with Gold Performance Acknowledgements (GPA). The GPA system acknowledges districts and campuses for high performance on indicators other than those used to determine accountability ratings. More |

All-City-Choir Concert
The concert will be Saturday, November 22 at MHS auditorium at 3:00pm. This choir includes students from every elementary campus and contains over 150 4th and 5th graders. Both Middle Schools and High School Show Choirs will also be performing. |

Pictures With Santa
Date: December 6, 2008
Time: 9am-1pm
Place: Meadows Library at MHS
Santa Claus will be making a special appearance
in Meadows Library at MHS
to meet and take pictures with children of all ages.
Avoid the malls and traffic and come out to see our special guest.
Pictures will be available for pick up, at Meadows, on Thursday, December 11th from 4-6pm.
Picture packages are 2 - 4x6 for $10, 4 - 4x6 for $15, or 6 - 4x6 for $20. All proceeds benefit the MISD Middle School Dance Departments. |
