Friday, September 5th JA Vitovsky held its Opening Ceremony for the 2008-2009 school year. Students paraded into the gym behind spectacular grade-level flags. It was a breathtaking spectacle! Principal Cherie Wagoner addressed the festive crowd and issued a personal challenge to the students and teachers. The assembly reached its most moving moment when representatives from each grade level passed the "flame of Learning" from Kinder to 5th . The class of 2016 lit the caldron and the gym erupted in cheering. The ceremony came to a close after the entire JAV student body and staff recited, in unison, our new "JA Vitovsky Learners Creed." Many in the crowd were moved to tears. JAV is the place to be! |
