2011 Preliminary TAKS Scores Exceed Ninety Percent

New STAAR Test

The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) is being replaced with the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, beginning in the 2011-12 school year. More

Annual MISD Performance Reports Now Available

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) report on an annual basis. The report provides comprehensive data on the performance of students, staff, finances, programs, and demographics in every district and campus in Texas.

The 2009-2010 AEIS Report for Midlothian ISD and each campus are available on the MISD report card webpage. In addition, copies of the AEIS reports can be obtained in the offices of each school and the central administration building and on the Texas Education Agency website.

MISD Announces the 2010 Gold Performance Acknowledgements

Midlothian ISD and its campuses received a total of 36 acknowledgements under the Texas Education Agency's Gold Performance Achievement (GPA) system. The GPA system recognizes schools for high performances or improvement in areas critical to the academic success of students. More

Emphasis is placed on providing the child with basic academic skills and opportunities to apply these skills to a higher-level thinking. It is the aim of the district to provide the best possible preparation for its students' college education or future employment. The curriculum of the Midlothian ISD is designed to help the child reach his or her highest potential.

The Curriculum Department of Midlothian Independent School District is proud to provide its enhanced curriculum for all teachers, parents and students to access anytime and anywhere. Although our focus is to provide excellent resources for our immediate audience, anyone is welcome to review the established curricular areas demonstrated within.
