MISD Introduces New Online Application System

We are pleased to announce that Midlothian ISD has joined the Region X Teacher Job Network Cooperative application system. If you submitted an application with Midlothian ISD prior to February 1, 2010, you will need to click here to re-apply using the new system.

 
 

West Point Band Performs FREE Concert in Midlothian

The Midlothian community is invited to hear the United States Military Academy Concert Band on Sunday, February 14 at 3:30pm at the Midlothian High School Auditorium. Admission is free. The band is a direct descendant of the small Band of Music that had assembled at West Point by 1817. The modest twenty-piece military band of that era has evolved into the 48-member wind band of today. PDF logo View flyer for details.

 
 

Community Awareness Meeting: "Think About It"

Lee Wiginton Hired as New Head Football Coach

The Midlothian ISD Board met in a Special Called Session on Monday, February 1, 2010 and named Lee Wiginton as the new head football coach of the Midlothian Panthers. Wiginton replaces Robby Clark who announced his resignation. More

 
 

Midlothian is now a 5A School District
Posted: 2/1/10

This morning the University Interscholastic League announced its district alignments for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years. UIL governs most secondary extracurricular activities in Texas and assign classifications to schools based on the high school enrollment. During the October snapshot date, Midlothian High School had 2,215 students. The cut-off to be considered a 5A school district is 2,065+ students. Therefore, MISD is now a 5A school district.
