West Point Band Performs FREE Concert in Midlothian

The Midlothian community is invited to hear the United States Military Academy Concert Band on Sunday, February 14 at 3:30pm at the Midlothian High School Auditorium. Admission is free. The band is a direct descendant of the small Band of Music that had assembled at West Point by 1817. The modest twenty-piece military band of that era has evolved into the 48-member wind band of today. View flyer for details. |

Lee Wiginton Hired as New Head Football Coach

Midlothian is now a 5A School District

This morning the University Interscholastic League announced its district alignments for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years. UIL governs most secondary extracurricular activities in Texas and assign classifications to schools based on the high school enrollment. During the October snapshot date, Midlothian High School had 2,215 students. The cut-off to be considered a 5A school district is 2,065+ students. Therefore, MISD is now a 5A school district. More |
