New School Board Officers

On May 21, Ellis County Judge Carol Bush administered the oath of office to Matt Sanders and Jim Mentzel who were sworn in as members of the Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees. The Board also voted in their new officers for 2013-14 school year: Wayne Shuffield (president), Cindy Williams (vice president) and Todd Hemphill (secretary). In recognition for outgoing Board member Phil Seay, a reception was held to honor his 12 yrs. of service. More
K-12th Grade Lessons Galore at the Educational Showcase

The district curriculum is based on guided lessons designed by teachers who provide engaging work for students on a daily basis. These lessons were showcased at the annual Educational Showcase [PDF flyer] that was held May 20 at Midlothian High School. Parents, staff and community members journeyed through 100 booths with students demonstrating lessons on static electricity, Texas history, math concepts, literary plays and other K-12th projects in all content and specialty areas.
