To all incoming Pre AP English I students: There are two books to read over the summer;  FAHRENHEIT 451 and ANIMAL FARM.  There is ONE essay to write incorporating both novels into one multi-paragraph essay. In the attachments are some essay reminders ( YES, THE ESSAY MUST BE TYPED!!!!!!!!!!!!), a writing prompt, and a rubric. The novels are to be read, and the essay is to be writtern by the first day of school.  The essay will count as two major grades in the 60% part of the first six weeks grade.  One grade will be for content, and the other grade will be for grammar and form. I hope these attachments will help to make the summer reading/writing a little easier.  I am looking forward to a TOM TERRIFIC new school year. Holly McRuiz
