On Thursday May 17, 2012, the 8th grade golf team played in the district golf tournament at Walnut Creek Country club against middle schools from Cedar Hill and Mansfield. The teams competed very well with our girls team finishing in 3rd place, and the boys teams finishing 3rd and 6th. Karsten Green followed his 7th grade district title with a 1 under par 36, and tied for first place for the 8th grade district title. Joely Henderson defended her 7th grade district title with a 50, and took home the 8th grade district championship. The golfers ended the season very well, and showed that as the move on to high school there is a very bright future for Midlothian Golf.

May 16

On Wednesday May 16, 2012, the Midlothian 7th grade golf team competed in the district tournament at Walnut Creek Country Club. The golf team competed against middle schools from Cedar Hill and Mansfield, and they represented Midlothian very well with their playing ability and their class and character.

The 7th grade girls won the first ever Middle school district golf title for Midlothian, winning by 19 shots, and Caroline Traylor won the individual district championship. In the boys division, The Midlothian Blue team finished runner up for the second year in a row, this year losing by only 1 shot. The Midlothian White team finished in 5th place.

It was a great showing by the boys and girls and a great way to end the season. Below are scores for the tournament:
