Cody Taylor, senior at Midlothian High School, will be representing the First Tee of Dallas in the First Tee Open held August 30th-September 5th at Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach was the host of the 2010 U.S. Open earlier this year. The tournament is 54 hole event, featurning 78 Champions Tour players and 78 junior golfers age 15-18. Midlothian is now a 5A School District

This morning the University Interscholastic League announced its district alignments for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years. UIL governs most secondary extracurricular activities in Texas and assign classifications to schools based on the high school enrollment. During the October snapshot date, Midlothian High School had 2,215 students. The cut-off to be considered a 5A school district is 2,065+ students. Therefore, MISD is now a 5A school district. More
