The MISD Communication Department is committed to establishing a greater understanding of the District by providing timely and relevant information regarding district news, achievements, events and initiatives. Communicating is a team effort, and we work hard to meet the information needs of students, staff, parents, and community and business members.

Media Relations

Senior Citizens Gold Card
Our local senior citizens have made many contributions to the children and schools of this community. The Midlothian ISD wants to say ‘thank you’. The Gold Card Club is FREE to MISD residents who are 65 years of age or older. This special card allows senior citizens to be active in programs sponsored by Midlothian schools. Citizens Academy
Learn more about your school district by participating in the annual Midlothian ISD Citizens Academy. You will have an opportunity to take part in an interactive learning experience and go behind the scenes and meet district staff, see the day-to-day operations and understand how MISD creates a climate of success in both academics and extra-curricular activities. Midlothian ISD eNews
Community members and parents can receive the latest district news, events, school board briefs, urgent news and press releases via email. MISD E-news is a free email listserv that provides current and accurate information published by the Communications Department. This email will be sent to those who request to be added to the list.
Flyer Distribution
MISD has a local GKDA policy regarding distribution of nonschool literature. We do not allow community flyers to be distributed to our students nor teachers unless they fall within our guidelines (i.e. MISD PTV and student organizations, booster clubs, sponsorships, partnerships, vendor agreements).
