Winona WoodWinona Wood M Ed, LAT, ATC
Assistant Athletic Trainer

In 1994 I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. I went on to the University of Texas at Austin and earned my Master of Education degree in May of 1997. My first job was at Southwest High School in San Antonio as Assistant Athletic Trainer. I remained there until coming to Midlothian in 1999 as Assistant Athletic Trainer. I left Midlothian in February of 2004 to take the position of Head Athletic Trainer for Boys Athletics in Joshua. I remained there for a year and half then returned to Midlothian.
In 2002 I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Olympic Training Center in Marquette, Michigan. My goal is to one day be able to work the Olympic Games.  I love to sew(quilt tops in particular) and read in my spare time. I’m very active in my church’s youth group at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill as a Sunday School teacher and sponsor at various events as well as being a leader in the women’s ministry.
