PrintBoard Approves Randy Bullock as new Athletic Director

On December 12th the Board of Trustees approved Randy Bullock as the new Athletic Director. The Board also approved the recommendation to advertise for a new Head Coach and a new Transportation Coordinator effectively immediately. As of Monday, December 12 the Midlothian Head Football Coach, Adam Henke, was reassigned as an assistant coach for the Panthers. Henke was assigned as Head Coach in late-summer 2005 after Gary Oliver resigned as the Athletic Director and Head Coach.

Bullock, currently the MISD Transportation Coordinator, is expected to assume his role as the new AD in January 2006. He and his wife, Robin who is principal at Frank Seale MS, have two children Emily 3yrs. and Evan 11mths.

After receiving approval from the Board Bullock stated, "Serving as the Athletic Director for the Midlothian ISD is a tremendous opportunity. It is truly a privilege to be able to lead an athletic program in a fast growing community. We have a responsibility to organize and promote an extracurricular program that will enhance the overall learning experience in the District."

During his college years, he attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and was a four-year letterman, four-year starter and part of the 1988 Southland Conference Champions. In 1992, he was privileged to play for the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta, Georgia as outside linebacker/special teams and later played for the Ottawa Roughriders Football Club in Ottawa, Ontario.

Throughout his professional career Bullock has successfully coached in various capacities and served as football camp instructor from 1995-2005. Beginning his career at Northwestern State University in Louisiana and later moving on to Eufaula High School in Alabama where he served as assistant Athletic Director with 4 winning seasons, 2 years as district champs. Bullock later faced the corporate world in 1999-2003 and was a sales and finance manager for Frank Parra Autoplex and Chuck Fairbanks Chevrolet. Later he moved back into the game as a special teams coordinator and facilities coordinator for Cedar Hill High School and was part of their first winning season in 9 years with a 6-4 record. During 2004-2005 he was the assistant head football and special teams coordinator where he helped guide the Panthers to a 7-4 record and winning season while also assigned as the DAEP Coordinator for MHS.
