PrintClark Hired as New Head Football Coach

On Wednesday, January 25 the School Board approved the administration's recommendation to hire Robby Clark as the new Head Football Coach.

Robby is married to Jaime who is a math teacher at Rockdale Junior High. They have two sons Cagen and Conley. He graduated from Tarleton State University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise and Sports/Health Studies and was a student assistant for the football team from 1992-95.

Currently he's the athletic director and head football coach at Rockdale ISD. From 2001-03 he was assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Burnet High School where they reached the state finals two consecutive years in a row. From 1995-2000 Clark was part of Brownwood Lions coaching staff, starting as a middle school coach and ending up as football varsity assistant.

Dr. Kennedy states, "I believe Robby Clark and his staff will provide the energy, leadership and focus that will make Midlothian High School competitive at the 5-A level. I'm impressed with his football knowledge and how he is able to motivate his players during off-season workouts."

MISD athletic director, Randy Bullock, states, "Robby Clark will be a great asset to our kids, staff, and community. He is extremely enthusiastic and excited to be a part of Midlothian ISD. Robby is a perfect fit for our current situation here in Midlothian and will positively impact our football program grades 7-12."

He will begin his new role as MHS head coach on Monday, January 30.

A reception to meet the new coach and some of his staff will be Monday, February 6, 7:00pm at Frank Seale Middle School.
