News Release

Midlothian ISD employees voted for the district as the “Best Place to Work” in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex through a recent Dallas Business Journal survey. Rankings were revealed at a celebratory awards luncheon held September 23, where MISD ranked 3rd within the large company category. MISD is the only school district in the top five Best Places to Work. More than 400 companies entered into the survey process and only 94 were selected as finalists.
“There is a sense of unconditional love that is a part of the fabric of MISD" ~ Dr. Stewart, Superintendent of Schools
“There is a sense of unconditional love that is a part of the fabric of MISD. We are professional in that good things happen for the students. MISD is not just the Best Place to Work, it is the best place to work,” said Dr. Stewart, Superintendent of Schools.
To earn the prestigious DBJ Best Places to Work designation, companies have to earn a national best practice score for their category. MISD earned a score of 91.11, which is based on work environment, innovations/new ideas, people practices, personal growth and development, leadership, employee recognition and the structure of the day-to-day operations.
