Congratulations to MHS Track Regional Qualifiers: Ashley Cox, Ashley Cunningham, Riann Winget, Jaron Thomas, Joseph Johnson, Josh Sonnen and Justin Seeton! They will be representing MHS at the Region I Class 5A Championships in Lubbock on April 27th & 28th. We wish them all the best of luck!!

Panther Student-Athletes visit J.A. Vitovsky Elementary to help motivate 3rd, 4th and 5th graders for the upcoming STAAR Tests! The student-athletes led the student in Chants and shared how academics is important to their success in athletics.

Congratulations to the MHS Girls' Soccer Team for winning the first 5A District Championship for Midlothian ISD! The Lady Panthers finished alone in first place for District 5-5A and ended the regular season with an overall record of 17-3-3 and a district record of 12-1-1. In the first round of the Class 5A UIL State Soccer Playoffs, they defeated Colleyville Heritage 2-0. The Lady Panthers will now face Lewisville Marcus in the Area Round on Friday at 6:00 pm in Irving. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Seniors Aizia Azarcon, Mackenzie Grier, Alec Humphreys and Savannah Valderas who signed their Letter of Intent to continue competing in their respective sports at the collegiate level.
Head Boys' Varsity Coach, Glenn Hartson, was honored on December 20th for winning his 200th Career game on Thursday, December 1, 2011 against Grapevine High School in the Grapevine Tournament.
Coach Hartson joins an elite group of coaches to accomplish 200+ Career victories.
He is in his 25th year of teaching and coaching serving 14 of those years as a head coach. He became the head basketball coach at Midlothian in 2000 and led the Panthers to the playoffs for the first time in 26 years. Since then, his teams have advanced to the playoffs 7 out of 11 years, winning 3 District Championships, 3 Bi-District Championships and advancing to the Regional Quarterfinals twice.
Coach Hartson has been voted District Coach of the Year 4 times and was a nominee for THSCA All-Star Basketball Coach in 2007. Congratulations Coach Hartson!

MISD Athletics Student-Athletes Follow thier Dreams
On Wednesday, Novmeber 9, 2011, the Midlothian ISD Athletic Department honored three student-athletes as they made a commitment to play college athletics. MHS Seniors (left to right): Kacy Williams (softball, Video), Tadam Mergener (volleyball, Video) and Caitlin Paschall (volleyball; Video) all signed letters of intent to compete at the next level in their respective sports.
Congratulations to Junior Panther Club Members, Colby P. and Lukin S.; who were selected as Honorary Captains when the Panthers took on South Grand Prairie. Colby is a Kindergartener at Longbranch Elementary and his favorite thing about Panther Football is the kickoff. Lukin Seibert is a Kindergartener at JR Irvin Elementary and his favorite thing about the Panthers are their colors – Go Blue and White!
